About this site

sterlinganderson.net was first registered sometime in 1999. I had an employer who was severely underpaying me, so I talked him into letting me register my own domain when I renewed his.

Over the years, the website has been a dumping ground of tech posts, family updates, and other random content. A few posts actually became popular in certain circles, like my instructions for adding a little color to your Apple laptop logo (back when they were cool and glowed). I also had someone from Apple reach out and ask for help configuring an Apache web server for LDAP authentication after they read this post. I kept a printout of their email tacked to my cubicle wall for a while after that.

I've tried to maintain all the old posts, regardless of how embarrassing I find them now, while moving the site to various hosts over the years, but there are quite a few broken links, particularly with images.
