Rocket Launch!

We had our first successful model rocket launch yesterday. We had a pretty good time. Unfortunately, the cameraman (me) for the second launch messed up and that wasn't filmed. We used a larger engine for the second launch, so it was even cooler than the one in the video below.

Holy Crap She's TEN

Noah turned ten years old on Sunday. I can't believe she's reached double digits. It seems like just yesterday I was squeezing her infant seat into my Jetta to bring her home from the hospital. Now she's this intelligent, beautiful young girl. She had a couple friends sleep over Friday night. She's entering into the giggly young adolescent stage. They were up late talking, and making all sorts of noise. On Sunday we had some family over, and of course Noah got a stack of books. Everyone knows that's the best thing to get her. She's already finished one, and is almost done with another. We got her a hammock as well, so she's spent a good portion of the last couple days relaxing in that with her books.

Best way to get good pictures of kids

Every time I try to get decent pictures of the kids they either make goofy faces, or turn it into a game and run away. Today I just gave them the camera and told them to take pictures of each other. Of course the majority of the pictures they took were not of each other, and the ones that were mostly consisted of them goofing around. I didn't have to get frustrated trying to get good pictures of them though. Here's some good pictures they took.

Halloween 2008

We had a good Halloween this year. Sarah and Noah found a great costume idea for Noah and Jack online. They went as stick people! When outside trick or treating they looked amazing, and got lots of compliments.

We carved pumpkins a few days before Halloween. Amazingly, I got home from work and Sarah and the kids had already cleaned them out. The messy work was done. I helped Jack carve his pumpkin, and this year Noah carved her pumpkin completely on her own. She did a great job too.

We went to my parents, had some pizza, and played with the kids' cousins for a while in the late afternoon. We then decided to do our trick or treating at Grandma and Grandpa's this year. Noah and Jack had fun with their cousins, it was a good time. Now though we have most of our candy that we were going to hand out left. This is good and bad. I have a weakness for candy, but also need to trim the gut a bit.

Overall a great holiday.

All Three Kids Love Wii

All of the kids love playing Wii. These pictures Sarah took are great. Joe isn't quite ready for batteries in in Wii Remote yet, but I'm sure he isn't far off. When someone is playing Joe just needs a remote of his own and he is satisfied. He really gets into it at times too. :)
