Oh My God We Finished It!

My Brother Rick came over Sunday and helped finish (meaning I watched him work) the railing on our basement stairs. Jack got on his tool belt and was ready to help as well. Other than a couple touch ups for paint and stain we are now done with the basement! We’ve been done with everything but the railing for over a year now. The railing has just been a thorn in my side. Rick is really busy with work and helping everyone and their brother with carpentry work so it was tough to find time when we could work on it. Watching how he did things I’m glad I didn’t try to do it myself. It would have taken me much, much longer on my own, and I would not have done nearly as nice a job.
